March Madness

Report Date: April 10, 2019

Fishing has been on fire the past few weeks. The weather has been good and the fish are hungry. We have been doing some mixed trips consisting of offshore, inshore, trophy, and deep blue water hunting.

Most of the fishing we do this time of year consists of live bait. We suspend them underneath kites and will drift them on the surface and below the surface. Doing this type of fishing we have been catching mahi, cobia, sailfish, kingfish, barracuda, shark, and bonita fish just too name a few.

For the big game trophy hunters the Greater Hammerhead sharks, sandbar, tiger, and bull sharks are showing up in pretty good numbers. When the sharks aren’t biting we have been targeting swordfish further offshore. On the way to the swordfish grounds we have also been snagging a few mahi

and tuna on the way out.

Inshore fishing has been consistent as well. There are some nice tarpon under the bridges and inlets along with jack crevalle, Spanish mackeral, and ladyfish.

I still have a few openings towards the end of April and the beginning of May. We are approaching the best time of year for fishing Miami. If you would like to get tight now would be a good time!
